By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb. 4: At least 14 Nepali nationals have been stranded at Changa Bazar of Tibet, China, due to closure of the Nepal-China border point at Kimathanka in Shankhuwashabha district.

With the coronavirus epidemic spreading in China, the northern neighbor closed the border point at Kimathanka.

Temba Bhote, Chair of Bhotkhola Rural Municipality, informed that the stranded Nepalis had gone to Changa Bazar

He said that 12 of them were from Shankhuwasabha while the remaining were from Mikkikhola Rural Municipality of Taplejung district.

Chair Bhote said discussions were held at the district administration office in Khandbari, Shankhuwashaba to facilitate their journey home.

He also urged all particularly the people in Bhotkhola to take precautions against coronavirus as it was spreading across the border in China.

According to the RSS, Bhotkhola lies at a 5-day walk distance from Khandbari and the residents there depend on Changa Bazar of Tibet to purchase daily essentials.
