Kathmandu, April 1: Nepali Congress (NC) Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka has been assigned to take charge of the party Acting President during the absence of Party President Sher Bahadur Deuba.
Prime Minister and President Deuba who left for New Delhi, India today on a three-day official visit to the southern neighbour assigned him as the acting President until he returns home.
The allocation of the portfolio of the acting party president was in accordance with the party statute, said party chief secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel.
