Damauli, Jan 9: The man has died in a road accident at Talghare of Byas Municipality-1 of Tanahu this morning. The driver of a jeep (Ga 3 Cha 3778) heading towards Dumre from Damauli died after he lost control of the vehicle and met with an accident, according to police.
The deceased has not been identified yet, said Inspector at the District Police Office, Tanahun Shivaraj Chhetri. The driver, who was injured in the accident, was rushed to Damauli Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Fatal motorcycle accident
A person was killed when a motorcycle (Ra 2 Pa 1840) heading towards Ghorahi from Tulsipur collided with a jeep (Lu A Pa 1256) and a tipper truck (Na 7 Kha 5312) near Ghorahi-11 Bukalidanda. The deceased has been identified as Padam Basnet, 53, who was riding the motorcycle, said the spokesperson of the District Police Office, Dang Mukunda Rijal.
Basnet died while undergoing treatment at Rapti Institute of Health Sciences. Two others were injured in the incident. The drivers of the jeep and the tipper truck have been taken under control and further investigation is underway, police said.
