Baitadi, June 15 : Jayprithvi Highway has been obstructed with landslide since last night. The landslide occurred at Dholyamod of Purchaudi Municipality-6 blocked the road.
The highway runs from Khodpe of Baitadi to Chainpur of Bajhang.
As a result, ambulance, vehicles carrying essential goods, and trekkers have been stranded. The vehicles heading to Dhangadhi, Kathmandu, Dadeldhura and Baitadi from Bajhang, and those entering the district are stranded after the road obstruction.
Spokesperson of Police in Baitadi, Darshan Khadka, informed that efforts were underway to clear the debris to resume highway. "Coordination with local level and road office was underway to clear the obstruction," he added.
The incessant rainfall occurred for some days caused the landslide.
