Kathmandu, Nov 19 : Visiting Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokharel and Finnish Minister for Foreigner Affairs Pekka Haavisto held a meeting in Finland.
Minister Pokharel, who is on a visit to Europe, extended an invitation to the Finnish Minster on behalf of Minister for Foreign Affairs of Nepal, Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, to attend the Sagarmatha Sambad Programme to be held in Kathmandu.
On the occasion, the two ministers discussed the collaborative measures to make Nepal an exemplary hub of the education sector, informed Minister Pokharel's private secretary, Binod Neupane.
Also present on the occasion were Finnish Ambassador to Nepal Pertti Anttiaen, under-secreatry at Minister for Foreign Affairs Dhruba Raj Regmi and Tamang Society Chairperson Tasi Tamang, among others.
In course of his visit, Minister Pokharel had reached Finland after attending UNESCO's 40th general meeting in Paris, France. ---
