By Prakash Bikram Shah, Dhangadhi, Oct. 20: A helicopter of Nepali Army (NA) is leaving for Thalara Rural Municipality-4 in Bajhang, which was hit by a landslide on Tuesday morning at 4 am.
A total of 23 people including 18 of the same family had gone missing in the landslide.
Similarly, Ram Bahadur Dhami, ward chair of Sigash Rural Municiaplity-5 in Baitadi, informed that a total of 60 people of 10 families were waiting for rescual at the bank of Sei River.
Purna Joshi, spokesperson at Provincial Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law, informed that a chopper was being sent to Sigash a well.
As the sky has been clearer on Wednesday in comparison to Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, it has been expected that the rescue works would be easier today. The rainfall has also stopped from Tuesday night.
According to SSP Bikram Bahadur Chand, spokesperson at Sudurpaschim Provincial Office, teams of police had been deployed from three different places to initiate the search operation of those who were buried in landslide.
