Damauli, July 7: District Administration Office, Tanahu, has appealed Tanahu folks to stay alert as heavy rain has been predicted for three days.
Issuing a notice today, the DAO urged the people not to go near the rivers and rivulets. The weather bulletin published today by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology requested to adopt alertness to be protected from landslide, flood, and inundation as there was the possibility of heavy rainfall.
The notice issued by Assistant Chief District Officer, Chitrangat Baral, urged one and all not to do such activities as fishing in rivulets, swimming, collecting wooden logs as well as not to go near Setimadi, Trishuli and Marsyandi rivers as well as other rivulets.
The locals are urged to make a call at phone no 065561161 of the District Emergency Operation Centre, 98560677777 of Chief District Officer, 9856001111 of Assistant Chief District Officer and 9856065555 of Superintendent of Police immediately if any incident of disaster occurs.
