Kaski, April 14: Gandaki State government has decided to provide Rs 510 per day as food allowance to those staying in quarantine.
The State government's meeting on Monday took the decision that those staying in quarantine to contain the spread of COVID-19 will get money so that they can spend it for meals. Even the quarantines have been managed by the local and State governments, said Minister Ram Sharan Basnet.
Similarly, all three security agencies of the State have been provided Rs 1.5 million each for buying necessary medical equipment and safety gears to prevent and control the coronavirus in the State. The amount would be released to the Paschim Division of Nepal Army, Gandaki State office of Nepal Police and Muktinath Brigade of the Armed Police Force.
In addition, Rs 2,220 per day has been fixed as upper limit of expense per person in case of the health workers, staffs and doctors working in the dedicated hospitals.
Meanwhile, the meeting also decided to bring the Leknath Community Lions Hospital under the ambit of the State government.
