Chitwan, Oct 31 : Four rhinos have been found dead inside the Chitwan National Park in the past two months. The latest victim was a 40-year-old rhino which was found dead on October 26 in Raptidun buffer zone community forest in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-25, said CNP's information officer Gopal Ghimire. The rhino died due to natural cause, he added.
Likewise, other rhinos were found dead on October 16, September 22 and August 28. All the rhinos died from natural causes. Last year, the total 41 rhinos died from natural causes. In the wake of death of rhinos in national parks, the Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation has formed a committee to study causes of their death.
