Butwal, Dec 29 : The second street food festival is being hosted in Butwal with the objective of making the Visit Nepal Year 2020 and the Lumbini Visit Year 2076 successful. The festival is taking place from December 30 to January 1.
The event is being organized by the Hotel and Restaurants Entrepreneurs Association, Rupandehi. At the event, Sujata Kheer and Dahi will be announced as the special delicacy of Rupandehi, according to the Association Chair Samundra GC. The event will take place for three days from 6:00 to 12:00 pm.
More than 200,000 visitors are expected with an estimated business of around 50 million rupees. The festival will be held from Tinkune in Kalikapath to Shivalaya Chowk of Butwal sub-metropolis-9, festival publicity coordinator Baburam Gautam said.
Some 100 food stalls, including the delicacies of various ethnic communities will be established at the event. The event is expected to cost more than 3 million rupees.
Free WiFi, first-aid and security measures including installation of CCTV cameras will be managed during the festival.
