Baitadi, June 10: Flood on Baskhet rivulet at Rodidewal of Pancheshwor rural municipality-6 has damaged around one dozen of houses in the area.
The flood on the rivulet following heavy rain from Wednesday night damaged the houses. A local, Bhojraj Bhatta, said that the flood on the Baskhet rivulet damaged more than one dozen houses of Adtola and Baita villages.
He shared, “The flood has damaged more than one dozen of houses. The mud dig by dozer entered the villages and the settlements are still at risk.”
The flood swept away the half portion of a house belonging to Munna Luhar and crops and utensils were also swept away. Similarly, more than 10 houses including Hariram Luhar, Ganesh Singh Bhandari, Sundar Singh Bhandari, Gagan Singh Bhandari, Ramesh Luhar, and Shiva Ram Luhar are at risk.
A team of police has headed towards the incident site and details about the losses would be received once the team reaches the incident site, said Chief of the District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Narayan Prasad Adhikari.
Adhikari added however no human casualties have been reported yet.
