Chitwan, May 3 : Five people of a single family have taken ill after consuming toxic mushroom at Jugedi of Bharatpur metropolitan city in Chitwan district. They had eaten the poisonous mushroom collected from a forest nearby on Saturday evening, said the police.
The ill people--Bir Bahadur Chepang, 55, his son Suman, 25, daughter-in-law Sirjana, 22, and daughters Sharmila, 19, and Anjana, 15, are receiving treatment at Bharatpur Hospital. Of them, Bir Bahadur, who is admitted to an intensive care unit, is in serious condition, said the police.
