Kathmandu, Feb. 27: Finance Minister Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada today stressed the need for financial stability.
The government has moved ahead in this regard along with economic growths, he said while inaugurating the 3rd International Conference on Economics and Finance organised here by the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB).
Stating that financial stability and economic growths are interconnected, he viewed that financial inclusiveness should be integrated into banking activities. Efforts were on to make financial institutions inclusive in the context such institutions upgraded through microfinance were not getting any financial assistances from banks, he said.
On the occasion, NRB Governor Dr Chiranjibi Nepal said the NRB had lately increased investments in production sector like agriculture and energy, which he said would help stabilise country's economy.
