Jhapa, Oct 28 : A 79-year-old woman from Mechinagar Municipality ward no 6 in Jhapa district succumbed to Coronavirus infection here today.
The COVID-19 infected woman breathed her last in course of treatment at Birtamode-based B & C Hospital.
According to ward no 6 chairperson Lalit Tamang, the elderly woman was admitted in the Hospital this week after she had developed respiratory complications.
She was being treated at the ICU of the Hospital when she was diagnosed with pneumonia. Tamang quoted the deceased grandson as saying that the elderly woman had tested positive for COVID-19 on October 26.
