Rukum, Dec. 29: Police have arrested Jase Damai, 69, of Bafikot Rural Municipality-9 on the charge of raping a 14-year old girl.
Damai has been accused of manipulating the girl while she was going to mow grass and then raping her two times by taking her to a cowshed, on Wednesday at around 3:00 PM.
Police have informed that the arrestee had threatened the victim not to tell anyone about it.
Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sumit Khadka, said, “The accused again raped the victim on Friday, at around 4 in the afternoon while the victim had gone to his house due to some work.”
The accused had given Rs. 1000 to the victim and told her not to tell anyone about the incident.
After being misbehaved time and again, the victim told her parents about it.
The victim’s family then reported the case to the District Police Office, Rukum, on Sunday.
The medical examination of the victim was done at Salle District Hospital on Saturday.
Khadka said that the investigation on the accused was going on.
