Kathmandu, Feb 24 : Discussion would be held on the US aid project-Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact in the today's meeting of the House of Representatives scheduled at 1:00 pm at the Federal Parliament Building, New Baneshwor.
As per the tentative agendas published by the Parliament Secretariat, Finance Minister Janardan Sharma would present the proposal in the Parliament asking to hold discussion on MCC.
Similarly, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Dilendra Prasad Badu, would present the annual report of the Office of the Attorney General, 2077/78 BS in today's meeting.
Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has called a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee before the HoR meeting. The Nepali Congress has on Wednesday directed its all lawmakers to compulsorily attend today's HoR meeting.
General discussion would be held on MCC in today's meeting as the government tabled the MCC compact in the Parliament on Sunday. Efforts are underway among the ruling coalition to make common view on the MCC.
