Kathmandu, Apr. 11: The government Saturday said that new political map-inscribed decorations would be provided to personalities making contribution to national life on April 14, 2021.
The Ministry of Home Affairs, issuing a press statement on Saturday, stated that the new political and administrative map of Nepal will be included in the decoration to be conferred at the decoration ceremony to be held on April 14.
The decorations which were conferred on Friday didn't have an updated political and administration map of the country, which were actually meant to be conferred earlier on April 13, 2020, but had been delayed due to the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic, according to the statement issued by Joint Secretary and spokesperson Chakra Bahadur Budha.
The ministry clarified the issue after comments were made on social media regarding the use of old map on the orders, decorations and medals conferred on Friday.
