Kathmandu, Oct 1: The government is collecting data of youth to mobilize them in the volunteering service.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports has begun collecting data to mobilize the youths in different parts of the country in a spirit of volunteerism.
Chief of the Youth Mobilization and Advisory Section at the Ministry, Krishna Prasad Basyal said the plan is to mobilize the youths for volunteering in both 'taking facility' and 'not taking facility' basis.
The Ministry has given the responsibility of preparing the data collection software to Pulchok Engineering Campus.
The government has at present mobilized the volunteers in the health sector and as agriculture technician.
After the collection of data, the Ministry will prepare the 'Volunteer Mobilization National Strategy' and mobilize the youths as volunteers in all sectors.
The volunteers would be mobilized in the development and construction, engineering, teaching, infrastructure, emergency, environment conservation, sanitation, tree plantation, traffic management and raising awareness against the social anomalies and aberrations, among other sectors.
