By Siraj Khan, Nepalgunj, Sept. 23: The COVID-19 recovery rate in Banke has been on the rise of late.
On Wednesday itself, as many as 73 COVID-19 patients were discharged from various isolation centers after recovering from the novel coronavirus infection.
According to Banke District Health Office, the recovery rate of the district has jumped to 80 per cent. A few days earlier, it was 73 per cent.
Naresh Shrestha, COVID-19 focal person of Banke District Health Office, said that as of Wednesday, of the 1,674 total cases of COVID-19, the district has recorded 1,337 cases of recovery.
Some 326 virus-infected patients are receiving treatment at various isolation centers across the district.
According to the office, currently, 11 quarantines and 17 isolation centers are in operation in the district.
