Rupandehi, March 26 : Omsatiya rural municipality of Rupandehi district has distributed masks, antiseptic and soaps to all households across its territory. Calling upon the entire residents of the rural municipality to stay at home to keep COVID-19 infection at bay, the rural municipality distributed masks and antiseptic soaps reaching out to the doorsteps of citizens.
The rural municipality office urged its people’s representatives to take initiatives to resolve problems surfaced in local area and fully implement the decisions of lockdown, said rural municipality chair Hira Kebat. Saying all should implement government’s decision to prevent spread of coronavirus infection, he said, “A notice has been issued requesting public to inform police or people’s representatives if any problem occurs in local area.” Security personnel have urged people to remain inside homes and also held people coming out from their houses violating lockdown.
The state government has designated Bhim Hospital as the centre to carry out treatment of suspected coronavirus patients and Butwal Dhago Karkhana Butwal as isolation ward.
