Myagdi, Jan 29: Construction of Thulokhola hydropower project has begun at Raghunga rural municipality in Myagdi district.
Samyukta Urja Pvt Ltd has started construction of a 21.3 MW-hydropower project at Raghunga rural municipality-7 and 8. Project Chief Rabindra Hamal said that a 115-meter-long tunnel along with a nine-kilometre road from Bandighat to Sugarthala and dam site has been constructed as part of the project.
Similarly, a 37-meter bailey bridge over the Rahughat to connect the dam site and powerhouse have also been constructed, he added.
The cost for the construction of the hydropower project is estimated at Rs 357 billion and a target has been set to complete the project by 2023 December.
The power produced from this project would be transmitted to the national grid through the 132-KV Rahughat sub-station to be constructed at Ambang in Raghunga rural municipality-3.
