Galkot, Feb 7 : Construction of a 10-bed local-level basic hospital at Nisikhola rural municipality in Baglung district has begun.
Construction of the hospital has begun as per the federal government’s policy of constructing 15-bed, 10-bed and 5-bed hospital in all local levels of the country.
Chairperson of Nishikhola rural municipality-4, Taranath Poudel, said that the construction of a building of the hospital at Jhimpa of Nisikhola-4 has begun at a cost of Rs 82.4 million. An agreement has been signed to complete the construction of the building within two years.
The rural municipality has expected that specialist service could be provided from Nisikhola after the construction of the hospital building. The foundation stone for the hospital building was laid last year after locals donated land for the construction of the hospital building.
Locals of ward no 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the rural municipality would be mostly benefitted from the hospital.
Poudel added that it would make citizens of Nisikhola easier to get health treatment once hospital starts providing health treatment with specialist service.
