Biratnagar, March 3: Chief Minister of Province 1, Rajendra Kumar Rai, has wished happiness, peace, prosperity, long-life and progress to all the Nepalis living in the country and abroad on the occasion of Gyalpo Lhosar, the festival of the Sherpa community.
The festival, which is celebrated every year from Phalgun Pratipada, the second day of waxing moon until the full moon, is the New Year of the Sherpa community.
The Chief Minister said that protecting and promoting languages, religions, cultures and festivals is the common responsibility of the state and all the Nepalis.
The message issued by CM Rai reads, "Our all festivals should become the medium of the national unity. Such festival will help to develop the sentiment of unity among all."
