Kathmandu, Nov. 29: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a case against Bishnu Prasad Bhandari, non gazetted first class officer of land revenue office, Lagankhel for his involvement in corruption.
According to the CIAA, officer Bhandari took three months’ salary of assistant technician Birendra Kumar Devkota.
He took Rs. 58,329 of Devkota when he was secreatry at the then Jalakanya Village Development Committee, Sindhuli.
Similarly, the CIAA also filed a case against Som Maya Rai, operator of Aagaman Foodland and Guesthouse of Tokha Municipality-5 for giving bribe to police officers of the police beat, Maharajganj.
According to CIAA she was arrested while providing bribe ofRs. 50,000 to the police officers.
