Chitwan, Feb 7 : The Regional Hotel Association, Chitwan has urged the foreign tourists to visit Chitwan.
Association chair Deepak Bhattarai has urged the tourists to visit Chitwan as there was no risk of novel corona virus in Nepal including Chitwan area.
He added that the flow of tourists was decreasing with the rising epidemic of corona virus in neighboring China. He shared that about 700 Chinese tourists used to visit the area daily last year but the number has dropped significantly reaching below 250 this year.
The season is appropriate for visiting Chitwan but the tourists are not seen significantly in this season. Bhattarai opined to spread the positive message to the world that there was no threat of corona virus in Nepal that could help promote visit Nepal Year 2020 campaign.
The tourist area Sauraha has the 125 luxury hotels with the capacity of accommodating over 6,000 tourists. Though there is no risk of corona virus in Nepal, foreigners were in high alert and are found not willing to visit Nepal, an immediate neighbor.
