Kathmandu, Feb. 11: Weather in six provinces of the country, including the Kathmandu Valley has remained cloudy since Wednesday afternoon due to the influence of westerly winds.
Currently, weather in Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Lumbini, Gandaki, Bagmati and Province 1 is cloudy but is likely to be clear after Wednesday night, according to Meteorologist Nirajan Sapkota.
There is partial to normal cloud cover in the hilly areas of the country. Elsewhere, the weather is generally clear.
Sapkota informed that chance of rain in Province 2 and the Kathmandu Valley was slim even though they were blanketed by cloud today.
“The cloud in Kathmandu Valley will remain until 10-11 am, ” he said.”
According to the Weather Forecast Division of the Department of Water and Meteorology, light to moderate snowfall is likely in high hilly and mountainous areas tonight, and some parts of Terai belt is likely to be enveloped by dense fog in the morning.
