By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct. 14: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expanded and reshuffled the Council of Ministers.
Bishnu Prasad Paudel, a leader of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), has been appointed as Minister for Finance while Parbat Gurung has been appointed as Minister for Communication and Information Technology. Lilanath Shrestha has been appointed as Minister for Woman, Children and Senior Citizen.
Similarly, Krishna Gopal Shrestha has been appointed as Minister for Urban Development. Ministry of Defence has been kept under the Prime Minister whereas Ishwor Pokhrel, who has been looking after defence ministry, has been given the responsibility of the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers.
A statement for the Office of the President said that the reshuffling and work division in the Cabinet was made as per the recommendation made by the Prime Minister.
