Baitadi, Nov 14 : By-election is taking place in seven wards of five far-west districts including Baitadi on November 30.
The election is to be held at three wards in Baitadi and one each in Doti, Achham, Bajura and Kanchanpur. The by-election is taking place at Dhogdakedar rural municipality-4, Surnaya rural municipality-1 and Purchaudi municipality-4 in Baitadi.
Likewise, by-poll is scheduled to take place at Adarsha rural municipality-2 of Doti, Mallekh rural municipality-5 of Achham, Triveni municipality-1 of Bajura and Punarbas municipality-3 of Kanchanpur.
Total 22 candidates have filed nominations for the leadership in seven different wards.
Some eight candidates field nominations for three wards in Baitadi while it is three at Triveni municipality-1 in Bajura. Likewise, five candidates are contesting for ward chair in Punarbas municipality-3 of Kanchanpur. Four candidates registered their nominations for ward chairs in Doti. Achham has witnessed the registration of only two candidates from two main parties, Nepali Congres and Nepal Communist Party.
