Kathmandu, Nov 26 : The Election Commission has approved the Traffic Management Plan for the By-election 2019.
The Commission said other vehicles except those that have been issued with transport permission will not be allowed to operate from 5 am to 7 pm in the areas where the by-election will be held on November 30.
It is stated that arrangements have been made for providing, on the day of the voting, passes to the National Human Rights Commission, the constitutional bodies, election observers of the diplomatic missions, the United Nations agencies and the development partners of Nepal remaining within the determined parameters. These passes would be made available by the Election Commission.
In the case of vehicles used for humanitarian rescue and support, vehicles used for this purpose can be used by taking permission from the Chief District Officer of the district concerned. The Election Commission stated that the Chief District Officer of the district concerned can also issue passes to vehicles for more than the concerned district considering the nature of work.
By-election is taking place in 52 places of 37 districts on November 30.
