Sarlahi, Nov. 28: Three border points in south-east of Sarlahi have been sealed from Thursday midnight.
Considering the November 30 by-election, the border points was sealed from Thursday midnight to Saturday midnight.
Mohan Bahadur G.C., Chief District Officer and Coordinator of District Security Committee, said that the border points were sealed to avoid unfavorable incidents during the by-election.
The District Administration Office (DAO), Mangalwa, informed that Sangrampur, Parsa and Tribhuwan Nagar border entry points were sealed and other points were also in constant surveillance.
“We have informed about sealing of border to the Indian security officers, both, by writing a letter and through telephone call,” said G.C.
DAO further informed that flow of people as well as vehicles from India were completely prohibited in all three points.
The by-election for the post of ward chair is set to be held in Haripurba Municipality-1 on Saturday.
Two voting booths have been set up and 1356 voters are going to cast their votes in the by-election, said Krishna Ram Koirala, Chief Returning Officer.
