Kathmandu, Jan 18: The booster dose of COVID-19 is being administered to people working in the frontline in the Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City from Tuesday.
According to the Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City, the vaccination campaign to administer the booster dose to people working in the frontline has started from today till January 20.
As per the public notice of LMC booster dose is being given to people working in the frontline, which are listed as medical and non-medical people working in the health sector, woman health volunteers, refuse collectors, employees at the Tribhuvan International Airport, and people working in the public sector (employees at the government officers, banking employees, media personnel, drivers and collectors at the public buses) as well as corporations providing the communal service o people.
Along with this, people above 18 years suffering from chronic illness, such as active cancer, transplant recipients, immunodeficiency people, Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)-infected people, and people taking immunosuppressive while treatment can also get their booster dose of homologous vaccine if have crossed six months of administering a complete dose.
Booster in 10 listed vaccination centres for three days
The booster dose is being administered from 10 hospitals for three days from today.
Patan Hospital, Lagankhel
Nepal Medicity Hospital, Nakhu
Star hospital, Sanepa
Alka-2, Hospital, Ekauntakuna
B&B Hospital, Gwarko
Nidan Hospital, Pulchowk
Sumeru City Hospital, Damkalchowk
Sumeru Hospital, Dhapakhel,
Sarvanga Swasthya Sadan Hospital, Kupondole
Namuna Machhindra Campus, Lagankhel
The booster is given in Bajrabarahi Chapagaun Hospital, Anandaban Leprosy Hospital, Lele and Lele Primary Health centre on all days besides holidays.
Similarly, booster dose will be given from Imadol Health Center-1, Primary Health Centers 2,3,4, 5, and 9, Sidhipur Health Center-6, Tikathali Health center-7, Lubhoo Primary Health center-8, Lamatar Health office,10 from January 21.
Likewise, a booster dose is being given in Bhattedada Health Center and Gotikhel Health Center of Bagmati Rural municipality every day except for holidays.
Also, a booster dose will be given from January, 20 from Chaughare Health center-1, Sankhu Health Center, Dalchowki Health Center-3, Nallu Health Center- 4, and Bhardeu Health Center-5 of Konjyosom Rural Municipality.
