Dhading, June 21: A body of one of the two missing persons has been found in a landslide near the Ata River of Tipling in Rubi Valley Rural Municipality-2, Dhading.
Body of Raju Parajuli, 23, of Sindhupalchowk, was found on Saturday, said Pemba Ghale, Ward Chairman of Rubi Valley Rural Municipality of ward No. 2.
Another one is still missing.
Two persons along with an excavator went missing Friday evening when a landslide fell on the road between Sertung and Tipling villages along the Dhadingbesi-Sankosh-Tipling road section. Parajuli was the excavator driver.
Search is on for Jojo Tamang, 20, of Lapa, Rubu Valley Rural Municipality-5. He went missing after the landslide buried him.
When local police and resources were insufficient to search and rescue the missing persons, the District Administration Office Dhading coordinated with the Ministry of Home Affairs for the search by using a helicopter.
Landslides are continuously falling on the river bank because of the continuous rains for the past few days.
Ward chairman Ghale said that the search work was difficult as rocks and earth were continuously falling there.
