Damauli, July 9 : Bandipur Rural Municipality in Tanahun district approved the budget of Rs 558.2 million for the fiscal year 2020/21 from the rural municipal executive on Wednesday.
Rural Municipality Chairperson Purna Singh Thapa said that the new budget has prioritized development of tourism, agriculture, cooperatives, education and physical infrastructures for a prosperous Bandipur.
According to Thapa, employment programme, grants and subsidy programmes to promote agriculture, and women skills development programmes have been unveiled by the rural municipality in the new budget.
Similarly, the rural municipality has decided to distribute electronic ovens to the economically poor households.
The rural municipality has targeted to collect Rs 40.3 million from its own internal sources.
