By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar. 1: A person made an attempt to attack Chairman of Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' with a shoe today, amidst a programme at Rastriya Savagriha hall, Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.
Former Prime Minister Prachanda was addressing a programme organised to mark the first memorial day of leader Bharat Mohan Adhikari.
No sooner had leader Prachanda returned to the podium after finishing his speech than a participant named Ratan Tiruwa hurled a shoe targeting him.
However, the shoe did even not reach the podium.
Prachanda’s secretariat was streaming his speech live through his official Facebook page.
As seen in the video, the security personnnel who were standing close to the stage rushed to arrest Tiruwa.
