Kathmandu, Feb 24: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Prem Bahadur Ale, has said that artists are the gems of the nation.
Paying tribute to late famous folk singer and artist, Jaynanda Lama, at Jamal-based Rashtriya Nachghar, Minister Ale shared, "Artists are the true patriots making the country renowned. Late Lama also renowned the country through the medium of art."
He stressed that the role played by artists to reduce the evils and aberrations taking place in the country and to protect the nationality is significant.
The Tourism Minister extended condolences to the bereaved family members. He assured of taking initiative on the behalf of the ministry and his own to protect and promote art, culture and artists.
