Humla, July 12: The Nepali Army (NA) is handing over the Khulalu-Laiphu-Salisalla road section to the Hilsa-Simkot Road Project on July 15.
According to Milan Karki, chief of Karnali Corridor road construction task force, the road constructed by the NA would be handed over on Thursday.
The NA had constructed 122.75 km road from Khulalu of Kalikot to Salisilla of Humla via Laiphu of Bajura.
Due to the threat created by COVID-19 pandemic, the NA is holding a district-level programme to hand over the newly constructed road.
It has been said that preparations for the programme have already been completed.
The construction of Salisalla road section began in 2013 and the Humla section started in 2016.
Transportation services have started operating in the Humla road section thereby connecting Taajakot Rural Municipality, Adanchuli, Chankheli and Sarkegard Rural Municipality with the national road network.
