By A Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, Mar 25: Directorate of Public Relations and Information (DPR&I) at the Nepali Army Headquarters has prohibited the entry of all media personnel and visitors to its premises Wednesday onwards owing to the increasing global threat of coronavirus.
Issuing a press statement this morning, Director and spokesperson of the Army Headquarters Brigadier General Bigyan Dev Pandey said the DPR had to take the decision to avoid possible transmission of the virus through frequent meetings and discussions with journalists and other visitors.
The DPR said it would continue to disseminate the latest happenings and information related to the headquarters and the virus only through press statement, and if required one could talk by telephone.
The notice will remain effective until further notice, it read.
