Mangalbare, Oct 17 : A border outpost of the Armed Police Force has been set up at Chhabbise of Suryodaya Municipality-4 in Ilam district along the Nepal-India border.
Deputy Inspector General of APF Bamshi Raj Dahal, commander of APF No 1 Baraha Bahini and Chief District Officer of Ilam district Tulasi Ram Sedain jointly inaugurated the 173th outpost amid a function on Friday.
The outpost aims to guard the border and control illegal activities along the border, it has been said.
Praising the local community for their contribution to establish the outpost, DIG Dahal directed APF personnel under his command to win the hearts of the local community with effective duty.
Likewise, CDO Sedain said the process to provide public lands for the construction of infrastructures for the outpost was proceeded.
