Gaur (Rautahat), Nov. 3: A team of Nepal Police investigating the case of Nepali Congress lawmaker Mohammad Aftab Alam submitted the report to the Government Attorney Office.
Alam has been accused of murdering several people at Rajapur of Rautahat some 12 years ago.
The report of the investigation team submitted to District Attorney Office of Rautahat recommended the filing of three cases- murder, attempt to murder and explosion of bombs against lawmaker Alam.
The investigation team gathered the details from the persons injured in the bomb blasts, the family of the deceased in the blast, the then police officers, medical report of injured persons, the tractor used in the incident and the version of witnesses as the evidences against the accused.
Police Superintendent Bhupendra Khatri said that the investigation of police had proven the involvement of lawmaker Alam in the bomb blast in Rajpur 12 years ago.
After completing investigation, the police had decided three cases- murder, murder attempt and bomb blast against Alam, Khatri said.
The police had started the investigation in the case as per the order issued by the Supreme Court. The police had completed the investigation by extending the permission of keeping Alam in custody for three times.
The family of Trilok Pratap Singh and Oshi Akhtar, who died in the bomb blast, had filed the case against Alam and other five persons regarding the bomb blast that took place just one day before the day of the first Constitution Assembly election in 2064 BS.
The police took Alam under custody 20 days ago at Pipara Bhagawanpur of Rautahat district.
