Absconding man involved in multiple criminal cases arrested

By Our Correspondent, Morang, July 15: Police have arrested an absconding individual involved in various explosions and weapon-related cases with weapons and bomb on Tuesday.

The arrested individual has been identified as 40-year-old Nanda Bahadur Bohora aka Jokhim/Nandakishor, a resident of Ward 3 of Urlabari Municipality.

A joint team from State 1 police and Morang District Police arrested Bohora from his own home.

As per the police, they confiscated one homemade pistol, one socket bomb, one electric detonator, nine SIM cards and a stamp pad of a former rebellion organisation, among others.

According to the police, Bohora was involved in exploding bombs and setting fire to three excavators used in the construction of the road at Ward 1 of Miklajung Gaunpalika in Morang on January 19.

Similarly, Bohora was also found involved in the explosion at Kerabari Gaunpalika office on January 24 and the explosion at the Ncell tower in Ward 2 of Kerabari Gaunpalika on January 26.

Likewise, Bohora was found involved in various explosions at different places of Jhapa and Sunsari districts followed by weapon-related case in Bhojpur and Sankhuwasabha.

Further investigation has started and required legal procedures are being conducted against Bohora, informed Morang District Police.

Meanwhile, police have arrested two individuals from Kailali with a homemade pistol and its one round bullet on Wednesday morning.

The detained have been identified as 44-year-old Om Prakash Pun, a resident of Dang, and 27-year-old Gaura Dhami aka Purnima, a resident of Dadeldhura.

Following a tipoff, police had searched the motorcycle [State 2-03-005 Pa 9597] ridden by the duo and seized the firearm and bullets from Pun’s bag.

Further investigation is ongoing against the duo, said Kailali Police.
