By Tara Chapagain Dube, Pokhara, Aug. 18: Pokhara has recorded yet another COVID-19 death today.
"An 87-year-old male of Pokhara Metropolitan City-16, who was admitted to Western Regional Hospital, Pokhara after having difficulty in breathing and suffering from high fever, succumbed to the virus infection," said Dr. Arjun Acharya, director of the Western Regional Hospital.
He was admitted to the hospital on August 16.
Earlier today, a 50-year old female COVID-19 patient had died while receiving treatment in Pokhara. She was suffering from pneumonia, sugar, high blood pressure and chronic heart disease.
Preparations are underway to dispose the dead bodies of both the patients. With this, the COVID-19 death toll of Gandaki State has reached seven.
