By Tara Chapagain Dube, Pokhara, Aug. 18: A 50-year old female of Byas Municipality-1, Tanahun, infected with the novel coronavirus, died on Monday night while receiving treatment at Kaski Service Hospital, Pokhara.
She was also suffering from pneumonia and diabetes and was receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Dr. Padam Bahadur Khadka of the hospital said that her Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test report was received on Tuesday morning after her death.
She was admitted to the hospital on August 16.
The Nepali Army (NA) is preparing for the disposal of the body near Pokhara Metropolitan City-32, Majuwa.
With this, the COVID-19 death toll of Gandaki State has reached six.
Meanwhile, According to the PCR test report revealed on Monday night and Tuesday morning, the Gandaki State has recorded 25 new cases of COVID-19 including 15 from Pokhara.
