Baitadi, Dec. 29: The District Hospital Baitadi has completed the construction of a 50-bed new building. The building was constructed at a cost of Rs. 26 million. The oxygen plant is also being set up at the newly constructed building.
The building was constructed with the initiative of federal government and the oxygen plant was installed by the federal government, said Dr. Basanta Raj Joshi, medical superintendent of the hospital.

“Oxygen plant has been set up at the new hospital building,” said Dr. Joshi. All the arrangements have been made and around 90 per cent of the infrastructure for oxygen plant has arrived at the hospital, informed Dr. Joshi.
The newly constructed building will be handed over to the District Hospital by January 2022. After the construction of the building, locals are elated that they would not have to visit India for receiving treatment.

Now, the hospital is hiring consultant doctors and will provide special treatment to the patients, said Prakash Chanda, secretary of Civil Society, Baitadi.
“We are waiting for consultant doctors after the completion of the building,” said Chanda.
