By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Sep.29: A total of 28.5 per cent of the targeted population has received a complete dose while 32 per cent has received a single dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
According to the report of the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), a total of 17.85 million doses of vaccine have arrived in Nepal, and 12.95 million vaccines have already been administered.
Nepal has been administering four types of vaccine that is Covishield, AstraZeneca, Johnson &Johnson, and Vero Cell.
According to the MoHP, 2,448,000 doses of Covishield, 1,975,860 doses of AstraZeneca, 1,534,850 doses of Johnson & Johnson and 1,1900,000 million doses of Vero Cell have been received in Nepal so far.
According to statistics, the number of people getting the first dose of vaccine in Nepal has reached 6,960,828. Similarly, the number of people getting vaccinated with both doses has reached 6,205,770.
A total of 2,705,323 people have received a single shot and 1,514,598 people have received a complete dose of the Covishield and Astra Zeneca vaccine.
Likewise, 4,255,505 people have a single shot and 3,201,135 have received a complete dose of the Vero Cell vaccine. Along with this, 1,409,037 people have received the Johnson and Johnson vaccine, which is of a single dose.
The government has the target to immunize 71.6 per cent or a total of 21,756,763 people above 18 years of age. It has been stated that 33 per cent of the targeted population would be immunized by October 17, two-thirds of the targeted population by January 14, 2022, and all the targeted population by April 13, 2022.
