2,388 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Kathmandu Valley

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct. 19: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Monday confirmed 2,388 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley.

In 15,714 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done across the nation in the last 24 hours, as many as 2,388 persons were found with the novel coronavirus infection in the Valley itself, said Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.

Of the 2,388 new cases, 2,008 were detected in Kathmandu, 99 were found in Bhaktapur and  281 were recorded in Lalitpur.

Moreover, some 3,790 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed across the nation on Monday, taking the national tally to 136,036 including 94,501 cases of recoveries and  757 death cases.
