By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct. 12: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Monday confirmed 2,283 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley.
In 14,530 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 2,283 persons, 935 females and 1,348 males, were found with the novel coronavirus infection in the Valley itself, revealed the daily report released by the MoHP today.
Of the 2,283 new cases, 1,888 cases, 755 females and 1,133 males, were detected in Kathmandu, 118 cases, 54 females and 64 males, were found in Bhaktapur and 277 cases, 126 females and 151 males, were recorded in Lalitpur.
Moreover, some 4,047 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed across the nation on Monday, taking the national tally to 111,802 including 77,277 cases of recoveries and 645 death cases.
