By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct. 30: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Friday confirmed 1,888 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley.
In 14,989 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done across the nation in the last 24 hours, as many as 1,888 persons, 781 females and 1,107 males, were found with the novel coronavirus infection in the Valley, informed the MoHP in its update.
Currently, there are 16,242 active cases of COVID-19 in Kathmandu. The capital city's COVID-19 tally stands at 60,742 including 44,288 cases of recoveries and 212 fatalities.
Likewise, Bhaktapur has recorded 5,650 infections until now of which, 4,422 patients have already recovered while 63 succumbed to the infection. There are 1,165 active cases in Bhaktapur.
Lalitpur district has recorded 8,599 cases of novel coronavirus infection until now including 6,196 recoveries and 58 deaths. Currently, there are 2,345 active cases in Lalitpur.
