Hetauda, Nov 17: The Division Office of Water Resources and Irrigation Development in Parsa district has constructed altogether 17 deep tubewells at the cost of 30.5.
Constructed under the unconditional grant scheme of State No 2 in 11 places in Bara and six in Parsa, the newly installed deep tubewells have provided irrigation facility in 425 bigaha of land in both districts.
The tubewells were built at Bagadhi, Nichuta, Dhobani, Pokhariya and Birgunj sub-metropolitan city-2 in Parsa district and Phetagaun, Bishrampur, Pachrauta, Ganja Bhawanipur, Swarna rural municipality, Telkuwa and Prastoka in Bara district.
One such tubewell costs 2 million, according to the Division Office of Water Resources and Irrigation in Parsa.
