By Surendra Khatri, Rukum (West), Jan. 8: At least 12 persons were injured after an ill-fated jeep with registration number Ga 1 Ja 5201, en route to Gotamkot of Rukum West from Khadang of Dolpa, met with an accident at Aathbiskot Municipality-6, Manakamananagar in the disrict on Wednesday morning.
Raj Budha, 23 and Aryan Budha, 18, of Mudkechula Rural Municipality-7, Dolpa and Chandra Bahadur Rpkaya of Thumibheri Municipality-5 were severely injured in the accident.
13 passengers were travelling in the jeep, informed the police. The jeep fell some 70 meters off the road after its brakes failed. Inspector Kabiraj Rokaya, acting chief at the Rukum district police office, said that the injured were taken to Athbiskot Nagar Hospital and driver Tilak B.K. had fled from the scene.
