'Maoist Party esnured special rights to oppressed community'
By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Apr. 1: Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said that a wave of joining the CPN (Maoist Center) has swept across the country.
"The Maoist Center or the People's War has been the ultimate force to bring in the new political system with republican set up, federalism, inclusivity and proportionality in the country. It is the Maoist party that has consolidated national unity and provided a solution when national politics faces a crisis. People have realized this and started to join the Maoist party," he said addressing a programme organised to welcome newcomers to the Maoist party.
The Chairman of a major party in the ruling alliance said that the Maoist Center has played a critical role in ensuring special rights to the oppressed such as women, indigenous peoples, Muslims, Dalit and Tharus.
"With the elections including the local polls inching closer, people are attracted to us and started joining the party to make us victorious," he said.
